Why is it important?
The ESC Regulatory Affairs Committee is ESC’s main contact with EU regulators in Brussels. The group represents another strand of ESC advocacy and is part of a long-standing commitment by the ESC to bridge the gap between science and decision-making.
Perspectives
Although the institutions of the European Union (EU) can seem remote with drawn-out processes that are far removed from the day-to-day work of clinicians, representatives of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) have found a refreshing willingness from EU officials to engage and work with scientific experts towards common goals.
