Why is it important?
There is no reason to believe that e-cigarettes are harmless. More high quality studies are needed.
Perspectives
The tobacco industry has published many studies claiming that e-cigarettes are harmless. New studies by neutral scientists are warranted, and some recent reviews have presented knowledge about several negative health effects. E-cigarettes do not seem to be effective in quitting smoking.
