What is it about?

We draw on our own feelings of exile in the Covid-19 pandemic to explore the experiences of Indonesian and Filipino Communists were trapped in China in the 1970s. Political upheaval back home left these Communist travelers trapped in China as China was going through immense changes. The different stories we uncover help us understand our current situation better.
