This theoretical articles addresses the importance of taking a political economic approach toward explaining green/ecological/environmental crime. Green criminology began as an extension of political economic theory found in radical criminology. Subsequently, this view has been overlooked. Employs ecological marxism and treadmill of production theory to expand upon the political economic explanation of green crime and injustice.
