What is it about?
We tested for the impact of cannabidiol (CBD, 2 mg/kg/day) on the quality of life of 80 people having a controlled HIV infection. After 12 weeks of treatment, there was a marginal benefit of CBD on physical functioning when compared with the control group.

Why is it important?
CBD appeared safe in our study. CBD may have a positive impact in some people living with HIV's quality of life.
Perspectives
More research is needed in people with a worse quality of life at baseline to potentially highlight more marked benefits of CBD.
