What is it about?

Mental harm has been discussed in the realms of military operations, but not so much in conjunction with human rights law. Referring to scenarios where military operations lead to people severely wounded who struggle for their life, I discuss how the 'vida digna' component of the right to life can refer also to situations of mental anguish, where the very existence of life itself is in peril.
