Why is it important?

Professional societies do a lot of work behind the scenes and play an important role in overseeing clinical standards and identifying best practice.


It's sometimes hard to understand or appreciate the sterling work that groups such as the British Cardiovascular Society do if you are not a member or directly involved. Simon Ray provides an insight into some of the work BCS is currently involved in and what's over the horizon.
