What is it about?
German cardiologist Karen Sliwa has been working in South Africa for many years and is well-placed to offer an insight into the field. She is known for her work in heart failure and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the peripartum period as well as the unique Heart of Soweto and Heart of Africa studies.

Sliwa has an in-depth knowledge of the current state of cardiology not just in South Africa, but across the continent in general.
