The Contributions of François M Abboud MD to American Cardiology

François Abboud was born in Egypt and initially went to the United States for specialty training. He stayed on to become Chairman and CEO of the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Iowa and President of the American Heart Association.
Why is it important?
Abboud's story charts the development of cardiology at the University of Iowa culminating in the establishment of the Abboud Cardiovascular Research Center.
