What is it about?

Looks at the population referred for physiotherapy, the interventions used, and functional change during their physiotherapy programme. Identifies patients seen for supportive measures, and those who underwent rehabilitation while in the inpatient unit.

Why is it important?
This type of study had not been done before. Prior to this, most publications about hospice physiotherapy were descriptive, not analytical.
Perspectives
This is a snapshot of how physiotherapy and palliative rehabilitation was evolving at the time ( 2010) in an Irish hospice. Of interest to palliative care physiotherapists, or professional involved with palliative rehabilitation.
