What is it about?
Inconel is a nickel based casting alloy used by construction of high temperature stressed details, mainly the parts of airplane engines. Properties of this material depend on microstructure of the alloy, which is affected by the solidification conditions. The structure can by predicted by numerical simulation.

Why is it important?
Numerical simulation allows to predict the structurte and properties of the part in advance and subsequently affect the solidification conditions of real casting.
