What is it about?

In the study of quantum systems, managing the exponential growth in complexity with each added qubit—known as the curse of dimensionality—often renders classical computer simulations impractical. This paper demonstrates that, under certain conditions, it is possible to analyze extensive, even infinite, arrays of qubits. The use of the Haar transform, a mathematical tool not previously applied in this context, enables this novel analysis. This breakthrough has potential implications for advancing quantum computing and understanding quantum metamaterials.

Why is it important?

This article makes it clear that scale is inherent in qubit systems. This observation has not been explored before.

Perspectives

It is a starting point for a research direction that has been continued and brought further results.
