What is it about?

Synthesis of highly mono-dispersed gold nanoparticles of different sizes at room temperature using hydroquinone and trisodium citrate as reducing and capping agents respectively.

Why is it important?

Synthesis of highly monodispersed gold nanoparticles of different sizes at room temperature.

Perspectives

Synthesis of AuNPs seeds 18nm using Turkevich method, followed by room temperature based synthesis using seed mediated approach. 18nm AuNPs as seeds were used for synthesis of bigger gold nanoparticles using hydroquinone and tri-sodium citrate as reducing and stabilising agents respectively. The AuNPs synthesized were highly monodispersed.
