What is it about?

We study the ion insertion potentials at positive and negative electrodes of carbon nanotubes, in view of [EMI][TFSI] damaging effects measured with Raman spectroscopy.

Why is it important?

The so-called damaging effects may depend on the particular type of capacitor being adopted. But the damaging effects measured with Raman spectroscopy have the fundamental meaning independent of the capacitor type.

Perspectives

Damaging effects caused by ion insertion could occur earlier than people think. In other words, the potential range where no damaging is narrower than most people know.
