Measuring the shape of fluctuating water surface using stereo-imaging and pattern projection

What is it about?

Water was colored to white and texture was projected on to the whiten water surface. The topography of the water surface with texture was analyzed using synchronized two cameras. The accuracy of the method was checked by measuring objects and simple wave. The method was then applied to measure the shape of breaking wave formed on an open-channel with a cavity on the bottom.
