What is it about?
We present a new multipurpose event generator (named ESEPP), which can be used in Monte Carlo simulations of experiments on elastic lepton-proton scattering. The generator outputs unweighted events of the unpolarized elastic scattering of charged leptons (electrons, positrons, muons or antimuons) on protons, and takes into account all corresponding quantum electrodynamics processes of the leading and next-to-leading orders without excited intermediate states of the proton.

Why is it important?
An important advantage of the event generator is that it does not use the common ultrarelativistic and soft-photon approximations to calculate the event kinematics and cross section of first-order bremsstrahlung. ESEPP is well suited for several significant ongoing and planned experiments. Its source code is publicly available on the GitHub repository and can be used as a basis for further developments.
