Why is it important?

This study showed a variety of pain from different musculoskeletal origins and neurodynamic testing showed significant mechanosensitivity in 88% of the patients with CPPS. Pudendal nerve mechanosensitivity was found in 85% of patients, but multiple nerves of the lumbosacral plexus can be attained.

Perspectives

Indicating minor nerve injuries or abnormal impulse generation sites (AIGS) can help to understand the clinical picture in CPPS patients and guide their treatment.
