Why is it important?

Article-Based Publishing is spawning new database packages and leaving other paid subscriptions incomplete. Providing true document delivery to patrons is becoming more complex and costly because of Article-Based Publishing

Perspectives

Lavery Library staff team up across several departments in order to learn more about Article-Based Publishing and track the possible impacts. It is a very nuanced idea, but we see it growing and having large delivery and financial impacts in libraries. In a few years, I predict the issue of access to online first articles with get bigger and more complex, and more MIPAs will surface.
