What is it about?

Life is based on chemical reactions. Nowadays physical and chemical models (developed from gas reactions) fail to describe life or predict illnesses. Conducting polymers mimic cell's composition: reactive macromolecules, ions and water. They give new biomimetic properties and devices (artificial muscles, membranes, glands, or nervous interfaces; electrochromic windows, polymeric bakeries or smart drug delivery. The reaction kinetics include chemical-driven molecular movements: life descript.

Why is it important?

New reactive gel materials mimicking cellular composition New chemical models quantifying macromolecular movements and envisaging life or illnesses description or prediction. New properties based on reactions: biomimetic functions. New biomimetic devices and tools. Any device sense working conditions: dual actuator-sensors, the old dream of the engineers and robot designers. New chemical and conformational memories predicting a step up for may orders of magnitude of storage densities.
