What is it about?

Battery swap system is one of the solutions to address the limitations of battery technology. For the consumer market, the battery swap system is an innovative service that requires user acceptance to help cross the chasm from the early market to the mainstream market. This study compared two battery swap stations and further analyzed the user experience to understand user acceptance.

Why is it important?

The results verified that aesthetic, pragmatic, and hedonic qualities were important factors to determine different experience for users at different stages of product usage. More specifically, aesthetic and hedonic qualities were important factors to influence user satisfaction and usage intention. Pragmatic quality has a strong impact on the user’s acceptance rate. An important factor that influences pragmatic quality is whether the user's perception of the product is established during the course of using the product.
