Perspectives

Fragility is a self-reinforcing challenge. Addressing State fragility is not a one-shot activity; It rather requires effective approach rendering Patience, resources, and country leadership. The outbreak of Ebola is an example that supports the notion that pursuing resilience is a long term process. The principles agreed upon in the New Deal for engagement in fragile states require the International engagement in conflict affected areas to consider country-owned Peacebuilding and Statebuilding as the foundation for sustainability.
