What is it about?

Hopkins' unique compressed style of writing poetry can be traced from his period though modernist poetry to postmodernist poetry being written today. This study in poetics uses relevant examples by representative poets for each style.

Hopkins is known as a precursor environmentalist poet. His style is much more interesting and important than many poets and writer appreciate.
