What is it about?

This paper explores neoliberal approaches to global population policies that advocate choice at the same time as states have brandished strong control of population policies. Neoliberalism leads to an over-concentration on reducing populations without consideration of the relative impacts of different populations. States have controlled population policies (at odds with neoliberal policies on state control) and have largely overlooked the potential of education prorgrammes and alternatives.

This is an important contribution to the debate on global population control.
