Why is it important?

The treatment (called The BodyMind Approach) is unique in bridging the body- mind split in current health care practice. It starts from where the patient is i.e. pre occuied with their sensory experience of their symptoms. It engages the patient in a process wheremindfulness practice focus on the body and movement. From here exploration evolves whereby the patient actively discovers the nature and/or purpose of their symptoms and begins to address the affective states associated with them.
