Going digital: Using new technologies in visual sociology

What is it about?

Modern versions of software enable to catalogue and analyse multimedia data . In this paper I will describe the tools, techniques and merged use of different hardware and software which helped me in some recent visual sociology's projects.

Why is it important?

My conclusion is that CAQDAS freeware and open source software, could be effectively used to design the research and map the ideas, assist the coding process, record photo elicitation interviews, index and analyse visual data.
