While sharing videos online might seem a simple task and open to everyone, there are many complications associated with it that frustrate video makers.

Why is it important?

My work is a detailed examination of the video sharing process showing that it is a problematic one for many video makers. The paper frames this examination in terms of human-machine entanglements, rather than focussing on social ties, thereby contributing a different perspective from previous studies and situating the work generally within the growing literature on the materiality of digital technology.
