Why is it important?

As climate change increases and struggles over land and resource rights deepen, more and more people in Latin America, from family farmers to indigenous communities, are speaking out. This article documents how those activists are also facing increased efforts to silence their work, including the deployment of the justice system against them.

Perspectives

The experiences of resilience and resistance of the activists profiled in this article are sure to inspire readers, as they did me.
