What is it about?
This argues that Plato held a theory of form number as primarily ordinal, and that the report by Aristotle in Metaphysics Bk M that Plato thought form numbers consist of units is mistaken, and how this must have come about. Also argues that an adapted Platonic theory of this kind is still viable today in the context of set theoretical approaches to the nature of number.
