Why is it important?

Boards have a legal responsibility to govern all aspects of their organisations capably. In 2014 two whole corporate boards and their executive teams (Wyndam World Wide and Target USA) were separately sued for breach of fiduciary care after cyber attacks.

Perspectives

As recently as 2017, international research conducted by reputable global consulting firms continues to suggest board capability to govern information and technology remains critically low.
