Why is it important?

Cultivars containing resistance from the same donor accession differ in the expression of the resistance to Russian wheat aphid. In some circumstance, for some cultivars it could be financially beneficial to spray insecticides, for most it would not be. Knowing which cultivars retain yield the best under sever infestation is important for producers.
