What is it about?

Bush honeysuckle is a robust, fruitful and fast-spreading shrub that was widely planted as a part of landscaping and for erosion control. Now it has become an invasive problem, crowding out other species, including native species and other plants that are more favorable for wildlife.

Why is it important?

It's difficult to reduce or eradicate bush honeysuckle without doing other damage to the environment. This causes tension in communities. Some cities host workdays to reduce the number and thickness of honeysuckle stands.
