Why is it important?

This is a rare study of aviation film. Using a variety of film types, it gives a broad overview of several aviation subjects and personalities.

Perspectives

The paper was resourced from giant reel-films in a central film library in London before the advent of social media. Many of the films can now be watched on Youtube. The newsreels are also available on the British Pathe and British Movietone websites.
