What is it about?

The small MEMORI dosimeter is positioned indoor at the location of cultural heritage objects of interest, for three monhts, to measuere the air quality that effects the condition of the objects. The result reading is made on a portable measurement instrument and is uploaded to the MEMORI evaluation web pages. On the MEMORI web pages the result is shown as a "trafficl light" risk level for the heritage material of choice. The evaluation distinguishes between the risk due to photo-oxidation and due to acidic impact. Why is it important?

Lacking indoor air quality can damage cultural heritage objects. Measurements with the MEMORI dosimeter is a simple way to assess if indoor air qulity is a risk to the cultural heritage. The measurements also provide a diagnosis of main risk factors. By application of MEMORI doisimetry indicationof risk due to lacking indoor air quality can be obtained and proper mitigation measures can be found.
