OMV-based vaccines aimed at fighting against HUS

What is it about?

This is a preliminary study on OMV potential use as vaccines for lowering shedding from the naural reservoir (domestic cattle) of the zoonotic Shiga toxin producing Escherichia coli (STEC), one of the most prominent agents responsible for Hemolityc Uremic Syndrome (HUS). OMV's potential for preventing deleterious effects of STEC toxins is also evaluated.
