What is it about?

Why is it important?

This article helps to both summarize and further refine the ideas about law's relation to its functions and about law being a kind of artefact, which are laid out in my book.

Perspectives

I am very grateful for the chance to develop certain ideas further in reply to some excellent comments and criticism.
