What is it about?
GIS is a great tool to visualise the distribution of air pollutants in an area. Here we have modelled the traffic induced air pollution along a highway in the mountainous terrain of Sikkim Himalaya. We have introduced a new GIS based air quality index and experts opinion to visualize the impacts of traffic on the local environment.
