What is it about?
This article is about influencing critical discourse on travel writing about the Balkans, questioning the critical tools so far used to read this literature, namely the postcolonial ones, and encouraging a critical discussion that would pay less attention to travel writing as narrative of superiority and view it primarily as a medium for displaying the human element at best.
