What is it about?

Scotch bonnet pepper is a very important spices crop grown mostly in Northern Nigeria. It's farming is not predominant in the Southern Nigeria. We have shown that with appropriate support, it can be cultivated profitably in southern Nigeria

Why is it important?

Our study shows that it is very possible to run vegetable farming profitably while it can adequately sustain livelihood.

Perspectives

This article presents a possibility of having a source of livelihood from vegetable farming. I consider it a great pleasure, working with a co-author with whom I have had a long standing relationship.
