What is it about?
Exosomes are biomarkers for early cancer detection. It is important to have a rapid and accurate detection method in a clinical setting. The proposed method is straightforward, it can be easily carried out in any clinical laboratory . The technmique can be transferred to a microfluidic environment.

Why is it important?
The work is important because it allows an early detection of cancer difficult through the existing methods. We are detecting exosomes through an optical method by using a novel biosensing protocol.
Perspectives
these results are preliminary and have to be confirmed through more experiments. The focus in this publication was to develop a biosensor that will be able in the future to be a part of a sensor network.
