What is it about?
The development of light-inducible systems has allowed us to control single signalling molecules with incredible precision. Now, we can combine this precision to the discovery of drug-target interactions, by activating or inhibiting certain pathways that are the expected drug targets. We can use these systems to rescue signalling and thus pin-point the actual targeting molecule.

Why is it important?
This is a new point of view to increase the accuracy and understand drug targeting. Moreover, it can speed up the long and tenuous drug discovery pipeline.
