What is it about?

This paper explains why Cameroonians are gradually foregoing their ancestral languages, especially in urban settings. The reasons proposed to explain why people surrender their ethnic languages are based on observations.

Why is it important?

The pace at which Cameroonian languages are fading away is alarming.


As an individual, I have difficulties speaking my ancestral language to my kids. Working on this project has given me hope that things can be different
