What is it about?
Most researchers on Indigenous weaving in Ghana have focused on the weaving craft as practiced in specific weaving communities in the country, and have just focused on the design and philosophy behind the naming and cultural context of use of these beautiful fabrics. For the first time we have endeavoured to go beyond that to do a comparative study of the differences and similarities in the technical details of the whole weaving process.

Why is it important?
This provides a better appreciation and understanding of the making of narrow strip fabrics on simple narrow looms in Africa. Such understanding will no doubt improve appreciation of such Indigenous fabrics
