What is it about?
This paper reviews the likely environmental impact of different forms of seaweed harvesting at a time of considerable new interest in seaweed harvesting. It also attempts to standardize some of the terms used such as harvesting, gathering and picking. If certain methodology is followed in harvesting, there is no reason why such harvesting should not be sustainable, though some unanswered questions remain.
