The world coastal cities are not running out of water, but water is running out of these cities.

What is it about?

Pls think we are short of water or water storage? Before we decide to let our people drink desalted water or recycled sewage, can we use our floodwater that every year runs off into the sea. A coastal reservoir can mitigate flood disasters in wet seasons, and then convert it into water resources in dry seasons.

Why is it important?

By 2050, about 2/3 of the world total population will experience water shortage in at least one month, about 2/3 of them will live in cities and 2/3 of mega-cities will appear in coastal areas. How to provide them with sufficient, clean and affordable water? using desalted water or floodwater?
