What is it about?

Sustainability is a complex subject. We combine science an art in a garden setting to inform the public about sustainability in food in a way that can easily be grasped using different senses. We call this setting a narrative environment, because we use an enviornmental setting to tell stories. Using this approach, we can address visitors on different levels - passing on information on a complex subject.

Why is it important?

Environmental issues concern all of us, so it is important that we all can join the discussion about shaping a sustainable future. Yet, many individuals are not informed enough or not interested enough to join this debate. Using new approaches to reach a broader audience with scientific information in a way that people are interested and care is therefore necessary.

Perspectives

We are still working on our narrative environments. This spring we will complete our newest garden on soil ecology. Your are welcome to visit us in Wädenswil to check out this newest narrative environment!
