What is it about?

The study found that in some cases sulphenylchlorides and selenilchlorides interact differently with the same carbonyl compounds

Why is it important?

selenilchloride reacts with acetylacetone (and acetoacetic ether) not with the methylene group but with the methyl group. This reaction result is unexpected and has never been described before
