Yeats Manuscripts

What is it about?

Using manuscripts to help understand authorial intention.

Why is it important?

Manuscripts can help clear up confusion about intentionality by showing, for example, that interpretations based on elements of published poems depend too much on what was added at the end of the writing process (and which does not feature in the conceptualisation of the poem).
