What is it about?

We decided to review the existing research literature and provide an overview of factors that have been shown in the past to influence whether or not persons with a visual impairment chose to utilize their magnification devices, or whether they abandon their devices.

Why is it important?

Many interventions in vision rehabilitation use assistive devices in order to restore functioning, but not everyone is equally excited about using such devices, especially in public. Stigma and many other factors play a role, and this field still requires lots of work in order to improve the situation for persons with visual impairment

Perspectives

This is the first publication with my PhD student Marie-Celine Lorenzini and I am extremely proud of her accomplishment.
