What is it about?

Universities can be considered as an engine of economic growth. This paper explored U.S. universities' main strategies such as industry partnerships, community engagement, innovation, commercialization, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship to see how they are expanding their economic engagement.

This research used comprehensive real-world qualitative data to analyze the universities' main economic engagement strategies that can be used by other institutions to enhance their economic engagement.

Perspectives

Writing this paper enabled us to understand how universities trying to advance their economic engagement role. In addition, the information provided in this paper can be used for more research in the area of universities' economic development.
