Branch unions - a new model

What is it about?

This article explains why the old model for how branches are attached to the trunks of trees is wrong, and why a new model is needed

Why is it important?

Many students are taught how a branch is attached to a tree using a model created in the 1980's; however this is an illogical model and needs to be replaced with a new one.
